Abloy Cylinder With Key

The ABLOY SENTRY cylinder has the same operating principle as the other ABLOY cylinders. The operation is based on rotating discs with one or several code grooves. The code selection in the lock takes place by turning the key one ¼ turn (90°) clockwise or counter-clockwise depending on the lock operation direction. The discs turn from 0° to 90° depending on the key cut. If the key and the cylinder fillings have an equivalent combination, the key will turn the cylinder drum further until the lock opens. When the key is turned back to the extraction position, the opening combination of the discs will be scrambled and the lock cannot be opened without the right key.

Left-handed locks are only needed for special applications where the right-handed lock is inapplicable (customer-specific).
